part two

Summer is here!! I'm so excited to just relax and do nothing. I admit last summer, i got caught up in a stupid soap opera, so this summer i am abstaining. Such a waste of time that was. So far i have enjoyed 4 days of summer, and i have already done so much. My mom came in town Monday and we got to eat lunch with Lacie and Lincoln in fort worth, we went shopping at Southlake, and we went to my favorite thrift store in Garland. It was great fun to actually have some one to bum around with me. I have always wanted to walk around Southlake, Barrett and i had been there before, but only for a specific store. So it was fun to walk around and see what all is there. Not to mention we just happened to cross by a cookie place, so i enjoyed a scrumptious double doozie while we were walking. Yesterday we also drove over to where our new house is going to be. We went there with the intentions of me showing my mom the house, and ended up looking around the whole area (aka - i got lost). It was helpful though, cause we found the walmart, and other necessities that we will soon need. Today, we hit the thrift store, then relaxed the rest of the evening and did some sunbathing by the pool. Mom, of course, walked away looking like the bronze goddess she is. And i walked away crispy burnt.
Lets see... what else is going on. Ive been trying to work through my anger lately. I have finally admitted its an issue that i need to give up to the Lord. Barrett and i started going to 'Recovery' at our church, which is a spin off of Celebrate Recovery. They have a support group on Thursday night, and Saturday morning is a step study, to work through your junk. I'm actually pretty excited on working through this, seeing as my anger does absolutely no good for my marriage and is far from bringing God glory. Our counselor also suggested that i start reading the book 'whats so amazing about grace'. Seeing as i have a distorted image of god sometimes - and really have a hard time understanding Gods grace. Why in the world would He want to use his son as a sacrifice for all of my sins past and present? Thats always been such a weird thing to me. I'm not deserving of Gods grace, there has to be something that i can do to earn his favor.. perhaps i am being punished now for my sin... NOPE, none of that is true, it just all comes down to grace. Its by gods grace that i am even breathing, by his love and grace. Thats it. Even the prisoner on the cross next to Jesus was given the ultimate grace. Just by his faith, Christ said 'today you will join me in paridise'. That prisoner did nothing to earn that, in fact he probably lived a horrible life doing all the things we 'aren't to do'. So i think that is the perfect example of grace. Anyways - i'm reading that book, and i'll have to let you know how it goes as i get deeper. Right now its actually helping a lot.
Other than that, nothing new is going on. My brother is coming to texas at the end of the month, and i'm hoping it works out that i can go down there and see him. We are overdue for eating piggies outside at BearMoon bakery. :).
Also - i am going to give in and go to the dr again. To have them draw my blood again. and have them tell my i still have parvo. Its kinda usless of me even going in. But perhaps they have come up with a better idea of cooping with it since ive been there last. Guess we shall see. Ill keep you posted on that too :).

Alright, i think i've rambled long enough.
Pleasant evening to you all
