Being crafty

As my summer is quickly coming to an end, i've been trying to check some things off of my list that i wanted to do this summer. I saw this idea at a little shop in Rome, GA. and wanted to try and paint one for our new house, and here is how it came out. I think i might touch up a few more spots, but i was excited to share it with yall.

Another thing on my list was going to the Library near our new home. So i went yesterday, and it was so much better than the last one i went to!! This one was 2 stories and smelled just like the A&M library. It was pretty neat. I got my shiny new library card and checked out the following book on greeting cards:
After looking through it, this is the creativity that came out of it: (if you receive any of these cards in the future, at least pretend to be surprised :)

That book was pretty neat, and had some good ideas, but it was pretty limited. So if you are interested, i would suggest just looking at it at the store, or getting it at the library. I also got a book on 'kitchen' gardens, i'd like to start one in our backyard. But i haven't read much of it yet, so i will have to let you know how thats going later. OH, i couldn't forget to show you a picture of my partner in crime in the midst of all this craftiness. Paisley was enjoying it as much as me :). She is cuddled up on those hideous curtains from the prior owners. Glad they are good for something :)
